I am an actor and I did do a Golden Era production not long after I moved to the USA. It's nothing more than an elongated recruitment exercise in an area that you can't readily escape from until they let you go. Seriously. It was not fun and I don't recommend anyone do it. Oh and the pay was shit. On a cost/benefit analysis, it is not worth it.
